WOW!!!!!! We have finished our lesson on bees and I must say that the children did absolutely amazing and were so excited as we explored the life of bees. I love that as I come up with and create lesson plans for these little humans that I learn just as much as they do. We discussed as a class what our next lesson should be about and we decided on the seahorse. We have finished our letter of the week and are now reviewing A-Z. They have done an amazing job tapping out our word of the week and have really begun to recognize these words as we review them daily. We are still reviewing counting to 100 by 1’s,5’s and 10’s but we are now counting pennies, nickels, and dimes. It amazes me how much they really understand and how much their brains absorb. We are looking forward to our lesson on the life cycle of the caterpillar, as the children love to watch their habitat daily to see them emerge from their chrysalis as beautiful butterflies that we get to release into nature. There is never a dull moment in this class and we love it that way.
Hello, my name is April and I have taken my love of children and opened Little Summit, a preschool in Central Valley. We are an intimate, caring and loving preschool that enrolls only 12 children because I strongly believe in meeting the needs of each individual child. We have worked hard to create an atmosphere where children feel safe, comfortable, cared for, supported and encouraged daily. Our parents love the intimate family setting where they know their children are safe, happy, growing, learning, discovering and experiencing something new and sometimes adventurous every day.
