Philosophy
We believe children are naturally inquisitive with a desire to learn. When given the opportunity as well as being encouraged to choose activities that are of interest to them and allowing them to move at a pace that fits their own learning preferences they will be more apt to engage and enjoy the learning process. Our role will be to guide them, providing access to information rather than acting as the primary source of information.
The learning process will happen through play and a hands on approach using many different mediums, materials, and manipulatives. This will help to keep children interested, engaged and motivated to explore new concepts, skills and passions. This learning process will help to develop children socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually, as well as develop a sense of self, build imagination, and practice problem solving skills.
We interact positively and frequently with our children, we ask thought provoking questions to engage children and help them think deeper. We encourage our children to talk and engage in conversations. We want our children to be active contributors.
This can only be achieved if the atmosphere is one where children feel safe, comfortable, cared for, supported and encouraged daily.
Our ultimate desire is that your child has a positive experience where they are happy, growing, learning, playing, having fun, discovering and experiencing something new and sometimes adventurous every day.
Mission Statement
To provide a stimulating and hands on curriculum which fosters a child’s desire to learn and will enable each child to develop skills at their own level and their own pace. The environment in which this will happen will be a safe and healthy one therefore allowing parents to have peace of mind with regards to their child’s care and wellbeing.
