• My daughter joined Little Summit in September and we could not be happier with her experience. Ms. April and Ms. Laura seamlessly create a nurturing, fun and academic environment that my daughter loves and thrives in. The teachers are so attentive and you can tell they truly care so much about the little members of Team Summit. The kids spend time playing together but also learning together in a homey setting. We are so lucky we found Little Summit and highly recommend them. It is more than a pre-school, it is a family.

  • Little Summit is a hidden gem. If you're not from around the area, you likely will not find this wonderful place. Thankfully, Fit Kid Play & Party Place located on NY-32 referred us to Little Summit. From the moment I had a walk through with Ms. April Lorenzo, I knew I found my daughter's pre-k school. My entire family including grandma fell in love with Little Summit for every reason you can imagine. Little Summit's facility is in a safe area where there is minimal to no traffic. Little Summit has more than enough space, which is always sanitized and organized to learn and have fun. Ms. April clearly outlined her vision for Little Summit as she transformed her home into Little Summit. Furthermore, Ms. April along with Ms. Laura are both caring and patient to all the children. Ms. April is extremely flexible and understanding as she gives parents schedule flexibility. More importantly, Ms. April constantly communicates with the parents through text and an app called "Talking Points", where she shares announcements and pictures of the children learning and playing together! Orange County needs more pre schools like Little Summit - caring, loving, diverse, educational and fun!

  • We are writing this letter in support and recognition of Little Summit and the time our son has had there so far. We found Little Summit in the summer of 2022, and had the opportunity to meet Miss April prior to enrollment. Not only was the physical space of the school clean, well organized, and welcoming, but it also seemed to be well thought out, engaging, and academically and developmentally appropriate. Miss April was incredibly professional and friendly, and was happy to answer any questions that we had. We knew very quickly that Little Summit was where we wanted our son to go to school starting September 2022, and our worries of sending him off to preschool for the first time were quickly calmed after his first day of school.

  • Within the first few weeks, Miss April and Miss Laura had greatly helped transition our son out of diapers, which was incredibly helpful as we were having some difficulty potty training him at home. They also worked with him on following the classroom rules and schedules, which was a challenge for him initially but is no longer the case. Our son also quickly began to look forward to going to school each morning and would tell us each afternoon how much he loved his teachers and friends at school. While we have certainly seen a significant amount of academic improvement these past few months, in the form of much increased letter and number recognition, the social/emotional improvement we have seen has been even more impressive. We have noticed an increase in social awareness, sharing and understanding his own and others' emotions. Every time we drop off or pick up, we walk into a happy, safe, and supportive environment. Our son runs up to his teachers to give them huge hugs hello and goodbye each day, and wholeheartedly loves Miss April and Miss Laura. We would absolutely encourage anyone in the area looking for a preschool program to send their child(ren) to Little Summit. It has been one of the best choices we have made for our son so far, and we look forward to seeing how much more he will grow academically and socially in the next year and a half!

  • Little Summit has our heart! Ms. April and Ms. Laura far exceeded our expectations. These two women truly care about the children and will go out of their way to ensure that they are meeting every child’s needs. Our son had been to a couple of schools prior to finding Little Summit. This was the only school he cried when the year was over. Ms. April and Ms. Laura worked hard to ensure that he grew emotionally, socially, and academically. As a person in education, I recommend this preschool wholeheartedly to you. If you are looking for people who are passionate about children then this is the school for you. It was truly a blessing to find this place.

  • Little Summit is truly a magical place, where true friendships are made and the best hugs are shared. I fell in love with the school as soon as I saw it, and then even more as I got to know Ms. April and Ms. Laura and saw the love they have for each of their students. At pick up every day, we couldn’t leave until my son gave hugs to each of his teachers as well as all his friends. While this is a very important aspect for me personally at this age, I was blown away by how much my son had accomplished academically by the end of the year (he was 3-4 years old during the year) - he was writing and spelling his name, learned sight words, how to “tap out words”, along with all of the other typical preschool items. He still has another year of preschool before heading to kindergarten. He has been completing tasks that his older brothers were only learning for the first time. Ms. April is incredibly patient with all of the children and understands their individual needs. My son had a tough time with drop offs in the morning but Ms. April helped him work through it until he was skipping away before I could even say bye! Without hesitation I highly recommend Little Summit to all parents!!
